Emberfall Chronicles
★★★★★ 4.7
Emberfall Chronicles is the game that ate my weekend. It's a classic turn-based RPG where you build a party, wander a hand-drawn world, and fight battles that reward planning over button mashing. The story takes its time, but the writing is sharp enough that I wanted to see where it went.
Combat is where it shines. Each character has a limited pool of actions, so you're constantly weighing whether to attack now or set up a bigger play next turn. The difficulty curve is fair — I lost a few fights, learned why, and won them on the second try without grinding.
It all works offline, saves locally, and respects your time with a quick-save feature. Perfect for chipping away at on a commute, then losing hours to at home.
